Try accessing the RAA website under website links and do the sample tests on their site or contact the office as some instructors do offer theory lessons.  Note, to be issued a learner’s permit you must be 16 years or older.

There are two tests that you can take for the theory:

• The Online L’s Course and Theory Test
• The Theory Test at a Service SA centre

Yes you can change instructors! Take your copy of “The Driving Companion” to the new instructor and let them know you have already had some lessons. The new instructor will take you on a review of everything you have been taught so far. If you can demonstrate that you do all tasks already completed to standard then the new instructor will continue on.

Please go to the Choosing Your Driving Instructor link and do an extended search under Commercial Instructors.  You will be looking for instructors who are MR (medium rigid) or HR (heavy rigid) qualified.
